Lucky FABB 2013 Recap - What I Did, Who I Met and What I Wore!

Even though I've been blogging for about three years now, I've never considered myself part of the "blog pack." Let me explain. Being a writer by trade (and nature), I don't know how else to live but to document my thoughts and feelings about myself and practically everything else. There is no other option for me. What has fascinated me all along is how many other people in the world, writers or not, share my passion to, well, share! There is no better place to find this out than at a blogger conference, and Lucky FABB was no exception. Two days surrounded by creative minds and friendly faces--I was home! More than the invaluable networking opportunities and posh accommodations, the panel discussions and breakout sessions offered great insight into both the business and creative sides of blogging.

Grow Your Business panel with Elise Loehnen of, Annie Ta of Pinterest, James Nord of Fohr Card, Tina Craig of Bag Snob and Scott Allan of LinkShare

Business of Blogging panel with Alex Kassan of Advance Finance Group, Marc Harpster of Next Management, Geri Hirsch of Because I'm Addicted, Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere and Raman Kia of Condé Nast

Set up at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, Lucky FABB Day 1 was exhausting in the best way possible. I was blown away by the genius behind some of the largest names in the business: Gillian Gorman Round and Brandon Holley of Lucky Magazine, Mandana Dayani of Rachel Zoe, Inc., Raman Kia of Condé Nast, Drew Barrymore and Kelly Osbourne of, well, you know... If there's any group of people who could teach you anything about the business of blogging, brands, editorial and digital media, these are those folks. Day 2 was broken up into breakout sessions that featured experts who informed small groups about how to make the most of your blog: increase traffic by harnessing the power of marketing, gain credibility by working with top brands and learning the tricks of the trade when planning photo shoots.

What I wore, Day 1:

In all, I would highly recommend the Lucky FABB conference for bloggers in all levels of success. Whether you're just starting out or already have a pretty faithful following, you will definitely learn something new and, perhaps, make a breakthrough that takes your blog to the next level! If we met at the conference or if you have any questions about Lucky FABB, shoot me a comment! I'd love to hear from you.
