I figured people of every age would appreciate the otherworldly yet somewhat obvious combination of chocolate chip cookie, Oreo, caramel, and brownie in each bite. You read that correctly. Originally a triple-decker doozy, I took cues from this recipe and added a (heaping) dollop of dulce de leche to the top of each Oreo. I also took advantage of the mass quantities of sugar at my fingertips and dipped rogue cookies into the warm can of caramel every chance I got. You will too. I guarantee it.
Chocolate Chip Cookie and Oreo Brownie Bar
Yields ~24 pieces
> 1 17.5 oz package of chocolate chip cookie mix (I used Duncan Hines)
> 1 box Oreo cookies
> 1 13.4 oz dulce de leche (I used La Lechera/Nestle)
> 1 box double chocolate brownie mix (I used Ghirardelli)
> 1 9 x 13 baking pan
> Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
> Follow directions on chocolate chip cookie mix and spread dough evenly on bottom of pan.
> Arrange Oreo cookies in a row on top of cookie dough.
> Spoon one dollop of dulce de leche on top of each Oreo cookie.
> Prepare brownie batter as directed on box and pour/spread evenly on top of Oreo cookies.
> Bake for a minimum of 30 minutes or until brownie mix sets. Cooking time may vary. Mine were a bit underdone at 30 minutes, so I had to pop them back in for about 10 more minutes.
> Expert tip: wait for brownies to cool from hot to warm and cut into squares with a plastic knife. This ensures perfect, presentable, bake sale-worthy cuts!

Did you miss me? Over the last month, a handful of people have asked me why my blog has fallen off the face of the planet. Between work and a social commitments, it's been hard maintaining my little life here. That's not to say I haven't been thinking about and planning the next phase of my internet presence. From outfit posts to giveaways to your favorite cocktails and recipes, I can't wait to share with you many more facets of my life. Until then, here's what I did while you were waiting:
Let go and rode like the wind...
Rooted for the home team...
Danced the night away in the desert (in my new favorite ASOS dress)...
Spotted hidden gems just a few miles from home...
Basked in the historical glamour of the city at my fingertips...
Lightened up a little bit.
