Make Me Blush/Make Me Sizzle

Whether you're celebrating solo or with a special someone, Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to toast to love. I've learned to never pass up an opportunity to treat myself to something sweet or out of the ordinary and Valentine's Day is no exception. These sweet and spicy libations are perfectly naughty and nice and will charm the socks off of your honey -- or just you! The cardamom rose cocktail and the spicy lady cocktail appeal to both sides of my personality: sweet, romantic, fragrant, and fancy, but also bold, adventurous, and not afraid to get burned. I hope you all have a happy Valentine's Day!

Cardamom Rose Cocktail

source

Ingredients:
> 1.5 oz of Hendrick’s gin (this is a rose & cucumber infused gin)
> .75 oz of rose syrup (make at home with rose water and simple syrup or buy locally)
> .25 oz of Fresh lemon juice
> .75 oz of Fresh grapefruit juice (ruby red preferably)
> 2 dashes of Peychauds bitters (Peychaud is credited with first creating the cocktail)
> 1 Cardamom Pod

Instructions:
> Lightly muddle 1 cardamom pod at the bottom of shaker (not too much muddling or it will overpower the drink)
> Add the rest of the ingredients
> Add ice
> Shake for 20 seconds
> Strain over fresh ice to remove the cardamom pod
> Add a splash of seltzer water
> Garnish with rose petals or fresh lemon wedge
