Sharp Dressed Men

After years of reporting on women's fashion, I have been noticing that the men have been kicking it up a notch as of late. The red carpet is no longer riddled with fashion's finest females, but dapperly dressed dudes whose style has evolved from "arm candy" to just plain yummy.

I'm currently loving this look. The trousers have just enough sheen to make this a formal outfit and the dark neutral of the jacket keeps it classic. My favorite things about this outfit are the distressed brown lace-up shoes. I love the patinaed look and tapered toe.

Is it the return of the three-piece suit? I'm digging Chris Pine's fitted and closely tailored ensemble, but Jon Hamm's outfit looks a bit dated. Sebastian Stan gets the look right with the perfect color combination and fit.

How do you ladies feel about Evan Lysacek's sockless velvet slipper look? I don't mind it, though it gives him a bit of a skeezy look. I like that he takes fashion risks and can't help but admire the sheen on his collar.

This is what I call the perfect outfit for a man to wear to NY Fashion Week. Matt Bomer (please don't be gay, please don't be gay, please don't be gay) pairs his dandy windowpane plaid two-piece with polished cognac lace-ups and an open collar. LOVE THIS LOOK! He looks great seated next to Brad Goreski, another fashionisto who always gets it right. Peep the piped peaked lapel two-tone blazer at the end of the row. Stunning!

Sleek, stylish and monochromatic is the way to go for an urban-chic menswear look. Again, the open collar and dapper piped detailing at the collar make this an excellent ensemble.

Jay Sean rocked a deconstructed tuxedo on the white carpet at the MTV VMAs last weekend. Again, an open collar with a piped blazer makes it work. Check out the ascot against bare skin at the neck. A new twist on a classic!

Logan Marshall-Green's bohemian look is straight out of the seventies, with the casual open collar, classic plaid two-piece and roughed-up leather lace-ups.
